As a risk averse trend trader, I've always been a bit skeptical and cynical when it comes to Forex robot systems. Most of which are a dime a dozen and have only proven to give Forex trading a bad rap. I'm not saying the new Forex Cash Rocket is a scam, but in my book they're guilty till proven otherwise.

These robots do in fact present a big upside, especially considering the opportunity to capitalize on skiddish economy. As a skeptic I do have to admit that Forex systems have proven extremely almost ridiculously profitable. But again, there are obvious push button robot rip-offs that have cost traders dearly.

The three critical factors that any legit FX robot needs to prove itself by are as follows:

• 1. Forward Live Data
Backtesting data is typically used to sell robots but that doesn't guarantee successful forward trading. Backtesters can conveniently ignore market conditions.

Truth is not many FX robot systems will display live trading data to support their claims. Which is why this is critical factor #1. A live trading account will allow you to prove backtesting claims.

• 2. Money Management Parameters
Regardless of how well any Forex robots LIVE or backtesting data, unfortunately no robot in the universe will ever know what the future result will be. So, you have to have safe guards set up i.e. sound money management rules. The absolute KEY to successful LONG TERM wealth accumulation via. Forex trading is wise money management.


• 3. Low Drawdown Protection
By low you should have less than a 15% drawdown protection. Any more than that and it's only a matter of time before you bankrupt your account. Some Robots out there can make brash claims because their risk parameters are akin to Russian Roulette. Seriously, some are as high as 40%!
